Product Description
The KROHNE OPTIMASS 7000 is a Coriolis mass flow sensor featuring a single straight measuring tube, designed for demanding applications involving fluids, gases, and solids. Its single straight tube design makes it ideal for highly corrosive fluids, custody transfer, non-homogeneous mixtures, and slurries, as it is resistant to blocking and fouling and is easily cleaned and drained.
The sensor measures mass flow, density, and temperature, and calculates volume, referred density, concentration, and velocity. Mass flow accuracy for liquids is ±0.1% of actual measured flow rate, with gas accuracy of ±0.35%. Repeatability is better than 0.05% plus zero stability. Density accuracy is ±2 kg/m³, improvable to ±0.5 kg/m³ with on-site calibration. An integrated Pt500 temperature sensor provides ±1°C accuracy.
Constructed with wetted parts available in titanium, 316/316L stainless steel, Hastelloy C-22, or tantalum, the meter handles a wide range of media. Operating temperature range for titanium versions is -40 to +150°C. Nominal pressure rating for titanium models is up to 100 barg (1450 psig). Secondary pressure containment is standard, with a typical burst pressure exceeding 100 barg (1450 psig). Advanced digital filtering ensures exceptional immunity to disturbances from nearby process equipment.
The sensor is compatible with KROHNE MFC 400 and MFC 010 converters, available in compact or remote mount configurations. The housing provides IP67 / NEMA 4X protection. Applications include viscous and shear-sensitive liquids, abrasive slurries, and processes requiring high corrosion resistance.
