The Georg Fischer Type 240 Butterfly Valve is the ultimate choice for the high demands of the industrial world. The result is less wear and operating torques that are half that of our previous model. Better chemical compatibility is achieved because the inner body is the same material as the pipe. This pneumatically actuated butterfly valve is available in sizes 2 to 12 inches with inner body materials of PVC, CPVC, PP, or PVDF, and a glass-filled PP outer body. The 304 stainless steel stem and EPDM or FPM seals provide reliable performance. Actuator options include double acting and spring return (fail open / fail closed). The valve is certified to PED and NSF/ANSI 61 (material dependent), making it suitable for chemical processing, water treatment, and general industrial applications.
