Product Description
The ADX-F is a torque measurement controller by ASA-RT that bridges rotating-shaft strain gauge signals and industrial control systems. A full-bridge strain gauge assembly mounted on the rotor transmits torque data through a contactless magnetic coupling to the stator-side ADX-F unit, which conditions, digitizes, and outputs the measurement as a standard analog signal or via fieldbus — no slip rings, no wear parts.
How does the ADX-F condition and output torque signals?
The unit digitizes the strain gauge bridge signal with a 24-bit ADC, then applies user-programmable gain, zero offset, and digital filtering to produce a clean engineering-units reading. The conditioned signal is available as a 0–10V voltage output or a 0–20 / 4–20 mA current loop — both simultaneously active — for direct connection to PLC analog inputs. Digital I/O lines provide remote zero calibration and threshold-based torque alarm outputs.
What fieldbus options are available?
Beyond the standard analog outputs, the ADX-F can be ordered with Profibus DPv1 or CANOpen DS404 fieldbus interfaces for direct digital integration into higher-level control networks. These options transmit torque values, alarm states, and device status digitally — eliminating analog signal wiring and enabling multi-variable monitoring over a single bus connection.
