The Bytorent SDS1.0 is a custom-made digital protection control system designed for industrial machine guarding and safety circuit applications. It achieves Performance Level e (PLe) per EN ISO 13849-1 and Safety Integrity Level 3 (SIL3) per EN62061, providing the highest functional safety ratings for personnel protection in machinery applications. Each system is tailored to the customer's specific safety requirements, with outputs and configuration customised to match the application.

Plug-and-Play Safety Integration

The SDS1.0 deploys without modification to existing equipment electrical systems. It uses an external safety control architecture to build safety loops rapidly — a practical solution for retrofitting safety functions to existing production machinery where re-engineering the original control system would be impractical or cost-prohibitive. Once installed, it operates independently from the machine's primary control system, maintaining isolation between safety and non-safety functions.

Compliance and Certification

The SDS1.0 conforms to EN60947-1 (low-voltage switchgear and controlgear), EN60947-5-1 (control circuit devices and switching elements), EN ISO 13849-1 (safety of machinery — safety-related parts of control systems), and EN62061 (safety of machinery — functional safety of electrical control systems). The standard enclosure measures 400 × 600 × 250 mm, with custom dimensions available to suit specific installation requirements.
