The 6SL3520-1XH62-2AF0 is the PROFINET variant of the 2.2 kW G115D FSB drive under the 1XH62 sub-code. At 11.8 A with fanless cooling, it brings PROFIdrive communication to the FSB entry point — the power level where conveyor drives transition from supporting roles to section-defining duty.

PROFINET at the FSB threshold

2.2 kW is a transitional power level in conveyor systems: large enough to drive a main roller-bed section or a merge table, small enough to still cool without a fan. The AF0 interface makes this drive a first-class node on the TIA Portal network. The PLC exchanges cyclic process data — speed setpoint, actual speed, motor current — and acyclic parameter data with the drive over a single RJ45 connection. When the line stops, the SCADA screen identifies exactly which drive tripped and why, from the 7.5 kW main drive down to this 2.2 kW section drive. That diagnostic visibility across all power levels is the reason the AF0 suffix exists at every step in the G115D range.

1XH62 — FSB fanless with fieldbus

The 1XH62 sub-code uses the same FSB platform as the 1XH22: 425 mm housing, natural convection cooling, 250 mA at 24 V DC. The PROFINET interface adds no thermal load that would push the drive beyond its fanless envelope. The only physical difference from the AA0 variant is an RJ45 port next to the power terminals — and the network visibility that comes with it.
