Product Description
Insulating glass lines need to load/unload glass panes of varying weights and sizes without stopping. Manual handling causes line pauses when heavy panes arrive or when rack positions shift. RHV-A is a 7-axis articulated robot that continuously loads and unloads panes from 50kg to 480kg and from 350×180mm to 4000×3300mm, keeping the line running without operator intervention between batches.
Which RHV-A weight class fits my heaviest glass pane?
If your robot is undersized for a 400kg laminated pane, the line stalls until a forklift removes it manually – 30 minutes of downtime. RHV-A offers six weight classes: 50, 100, 200, 300, 400 and 480kg. Select the model matching your single heaviest pane. The arm, bearings and drives are identical across all six – only counterbalance and gripper valve tuning differ. This replaces fixed gantry unloaders that cannot reach panes stacked at the back of deep racks.
Does RHV-A handle changing glass sizes without mechanical retooling?
When weekly production shifts from 3000×2000mm balcony panes to 1200×800mm window units, conventional vacuum grippers require 45 minutes of bolt adjustments. RHV-A covers the full 350×180mm to 4000×3300mm range on the same arm. Suction cups mount on extendable booms with spring-loaded compensation. Control software stores size presets – the operator enters new dimensions on the HMI and the robot adjusts stroke limits automatically. This replaces manually adjustable mechanical stops used on traditional stackers.
Does RHV-A force me to standardize on one robot brand?
Plants running ABB for welding, Kuka for palletizing and Fanuc for CNC tending cannot afford a loader locked to one brand. LiSEC ships RHV-A with a universal interface cabinet accepting ABB, Kuka or Fanuc arms – you choose at order. The mounting flange, power supply and safety I/O are pre-configured for all three. This replaces captive systems from integrators that lock you into a single robot OEM.
What does the 7th axis add over a 6-axis robot?
A 6-axis arm cannot rotate its wrist enough to place a 2400mm pane flat onto a curing rack without frame collision. The RHV-A's 7th axis is an extra rotary joint at the base, allowing the whole upper structure to pivot sideways – providing ±15° additional yaw compared to 6-axis models. This is enough to thread a 4m pane between adjacent rack pillars. This replaces twin-track gantries that require 1m more aisle width than the RHV-A.
