When do you need the DC terminals on a 230 V pump drive?

Long motor cables reflect the drive switching edges into voltage spikes at the motor terminals, and water-treatment pumps often sit a long cable run from the panel. A du/dt filter flattens those edges before the cable, and it connects through the DC-link terminals this variant carries - the 0-prefix versions of the same 7.5 kW drive do not have them. Choosing the 1-prefix drive keeps that option open: no filter today does not mean no filter when the pump is moved.

Why order the panel with the drive?

The Basic Operator Panel (BOP-2) mounts on the drive and gives plant staff local control: start and stop, setpoint changes, fault display and acknowledgement, without a laptop and without the commissioning tool. Alternatives exist - the Smart Access Module or the IOP-2 panel add wireless and graphical capability, and PC commissioning covers the rest - but for a pump station where the operator works on site, the BOP-2 keeps the drive serviceable by the people standing next to it.
