The AEMC CM605 is a 100A AC/DC low current clamp meter specifically designed for process and general industrial applications. It is an ideal instrument for measuring 4 to 20mA process signals, while also handling higher currents up to 100A for general industrial monitoring and troubleshooting.

The meter features a 10,000-count LCD display with excellent resolution. Its key capability is the 10A low current range with 1mA resolution, enabling precise measurement of low-level signals. Two current ranges are available: 10A (1mA resolution) and 100A. Accuracy specifications are range-dependent, with the 10A range offering ±2.0% ±10cts for AC and ±2.5% ±10cts for DC.

The CM605 is a versatile multifunction device capable of measuring AC and DC voltage up to 600V with 100mV resolution. AC voltage accuracy is ±1.5% ±5cts, while DC voltage accuracy is ±1.0% ±2cts. Resistance measurement extends to 10kΩ with 1Ω resolution, and a continuity buzzer activates below 100Ω ±25Ω to assist in circuit verification.

For data logging and external monitoring, the meter provides an analog output of 10mV/A AC/DC through front banana jacks. Tapered jaws accommodate cable diameters up to 12mm (0.45") with a maximum jaw opening of 15mm, making it suitable for crowded wiring areas.

Operator convenience features include auto-ranging, a dedicated DC zero push-button to zero the display, Data HOLD to freeze readings, and PEAK capture function that captures 1ms peak voltage or current measurements. The relative function allows comparison between two measurements. The meter automatically powers off after approximately 10 minutes to conserve battery life, with a low battery indicator on the LCD.

The CM605 runs on two 1.5V AAA batteries and weighs only 180g (6.5 oz). It is safety rated to IEC/EN 61010-1 and 2-032 for 600V CAT II and 300V CAT III environments, with CE mark certification. Applications include process loop monitoring, automotive electrical troubleshooting, industrial plant maintenance, and general AC/DC voltage and current monitoring.
