The 773 adds 0-10V sourcing and 0-30V measurement capability beyond the 772 model's functionality. The scaled mA output enables another device to record the 4-20 mA signal without breaking the loop .

Key features include linear ramp or 25% step output patterns for testing valve response, a switchable 250 Ω HART resistor for communicating with smart transmitters, and simultaneous mA measurement and sourcing for enhanced troubleshooting capability. The detachable clamp includes a measurement spotlight LED to help locate mA signal wires in dark panels .

The dual backlit display shows both mA and percentage of span simultaneously. Auto power off, backlight timeout, and measurement spotlight auto-off extend battery life. The meter ships with TL75 test leads, AC72 detachable clip, TL940 mini hook test leads, soft carrying case, and four AA batteries .
