AI Self‑Tuning and Over‑Shoot Prevention

  • One‑Key Auto‑Tuning (AT): The user simply presses the AT key on the front panel. The controller alternates heating and cooling cycles, measures the thermal response of the connected load, and automatically calculates the optimal PID constants. No manual entry of PID parameters is required. The AI algorithm continuously refines the control parameters during operation, allowing the same controller to work effectively across a wide range of thermal loads—from small laboratory ovens to large industrial furnaces.
  • AI PID Control vs. Standard PID: Conventional PID controllers typically produce a 1–2 °C overshoot during startup and after large setpoint changes. The AI‑508's artificial intelligence algorithm predicts the trajectory of the temperature rise and begins reducing the output before the setpoint is reached, achieving controlled heat‑up with negligible or zero overshoot. This over‑shoot prevention function is built into the control algorithm and requires no additional user configuration—it is always active when AI PID control mode (CtrL=APID) is selected.

  • Three Independent Module Slots: The controller has three module positions: OUTP (main control output), ALM (alarm output), and AUX (auxiliary output).
