The PL1010 is a pilot-operated pulse solenoid valve from Turkish manufacturer SMS-TORK, purpose-built for dust collector and bag filter cleaning in industrial air pollution control systems. In operation, a sequential timer controller energises the valve coil for a brief interval — typically 50–150 milliseconds — releasing a high-energy compressed air pulse through the 25 mm orifice into the filter bags. This sudden pressure surge flexes the bag fabric, dislodging accumulated dust cake from the filter surface and restoring airflow. The pilot-operated design uses line pressure to assist diaphragm opening, enabling reliable cycling at pressures as low as 0.5 bar.

What makes the PL1010 suited to industrial dust collection?

The aluminum body provides corrosion resistance without the weight penalty of cast iron, important when multiple valves are mounted on a shared blowpipe above the bag rows. The diaphragm and internal components are engineered for the high cycle rates typical of pulse-jet systems — sequential controllers may fire each valve every few seconds during continuous cleaning. With Kv 150 L/min minimum flow, the PL1010 generates sufficient pulse intensity to clean bags up to several metres in length. Port sizes from G 3/4" up to G 3" allow the valve to be matched to blowpipe diameter and bag count per row. IP65 coil protection withstands the dusty, occasionally wet environment of a baghouse roof. Operating temperature tolerance from −10°C to +160°C accommodates process exhaust from ambient ventilation air to high-temperature kiln and furnace off-gases.
