The ifm efector SU Puresonic Series Ultrasonic Flow Meter offers highly precise measurement of flow rate and temperature in industries utilizing ultra-pure water, water media, oils and coolants. This covers a wide range of industrial applications including potable water and chemical treatment plants. The SUxx2x variants are compatible with 90% of conductive and non-conductive water media. The SUxx3x offerings support 35% glycol solutions and oils with viscosities from 7 to 68mm²/s at 40°C. SUxx5x models are blind ultrasonic transmitters (8–32 VDC) suitable for water, glycol, and oil, and include a configurable analog output (4 to 20 mA, 0 to 10V, or 0.5 to 4.5V). All SU models include a totalizer output for consumption monitoring.

The SUH flow meter variants are compatible with a range of sanitary applications with FDA and 3A sanitary approvals. The SUH2 and SUH4 variants support food oils from 30 to 68mm²/s at 40°C. The straightforward pushbutton programming allows the user to easily configure output settings and units of measurement. A TFT display is integrated with most industrial models. LED indicators show switching output status at-a-glance. The IO-Link communication interface transmits process values for visualization for trending, analysis, and work order integration.

Flow measuring range is up to 264.18gpm with temperature measuring range of -40 to 266°F and pressure rating up to 100bar. The 1.44in color TFT display with 128x128px resolution provides clear local readout. Wetted materials include stainless steel and NBR depending on variant. Sanitary variants carry FDA and 3A approvals with IP69K enclosure rating, while standard models are IP67 rated.
