The ESTUN EP2E series is a high-performance panel-mount PLC that leverages a self-developed System-on-Chip (SoC) architecture to deliver exceptional control capabilities in a compact form factor. By integrating the CPU, high-speed counter (HSC), and numerical control (NC) functions directly onto the chip, the EP2E achieves faster processing speeds and greater system stability compared to conventional multi-chip designs. The three-layer PCB circuit structure and independent execution units further enhance reliability, making the EP2E a robust choice for demanding industrial automation applications.

Motion control is a core strength of the EP2E series. A single controller supports up to four axes of high-speed pulse output at frequencies up to 200kHz, with built-in linear interpolation capabilities for coordinated multi-axis movements. Complementing this is an eight-channel high-speed counter capable of reaching 920kHz, enabling precise position feedback and closed-loop control when paired with the high-speed pulse outputs. The 0.1ms precision high-speed timer allows the EP2E to perform accurate speed detection and frequency measurement, providing an economical alternative to dedicated speed sensing equipment.

The EP2E offers generous I/O expansion capabilities. The system can scale to accommodate up to 512 digital inputs/outputs, 128 analog inputs/outputs, and 32 temperature PID control loops. The SoC architecture also provides advanced signal processing features, including up to 36 points of pulse capture input and 16 high-speed interrupt inputs with 49 configurable interrupt modes. Communication is flexible, with one built-in port supporting USB, RS232, RS485, or Ethernet at baud rates up to 921.6Kbps, expandable to four ports for complex networking requirements. The controller includes a built-in real-time clock (RTC) and supports multiple programming languages, including ladder diagram and function instructions.

Security and ease of use are integral to the EP2E design. The controller incorporates a triple-layer security encryption mechanism and a remote alarm system to protect intellectual property and provide real-time operational alerts. Specialized instructions for NC positioning, PID control, and PLC-CPU-LINK simplify the development of complex applications. Program and data backup are facilitated through FLASH burning, allowing users to store up to 20K steps of program code and 40K of data.
