The XYZ SS 65 is a twin/sub-spindle turning centre on a 30-degree slant bed with linear ways. The 16.5 kW main spindle takes a 200 mm chuck with 65 mm bar capacity, and an 11 kW sub-spindle carries a 150 mm chuck, so a part is turned, parted and back-machined without leaving the machine.

Why machine both ends in one hit?

Two single-spindle lathes need a part hand-off between them — an operator or a robot — and every hand-off adds a setup and a tolerance error. The SS 65 keeps the part inside one machine through both operations, and because all 12 turret stations carry live tools with a 100 mm Y-axis, the second side is milled and drilled too, not just faced.
