Product Description

The TMX 8MYi is Hurco's live-tool turning center on a true slant bed with all-digital drives. A 12-station VDI 40 turret carries driven tools, and a ±55 mm Y-axis lets the machine cut pockets and off-centre features without a second setup.

Why does a Y-axis turn a lathe into a mill-turn?

Without a Y-axis, every milled feature must sit on the part centreline, so an off-centre pocket goes to a machining center. The TMX 8MYi's Y-axis reaches off-centre, so the pocket is milled in the same chuck that turned the part — one clamping, one datum, no re-fixture error.

  • 336 mm turning diameter, 64.5 mm bar
  • A2-6 spindle, 4,500 rpm, 239 Nm
  • 12-station VDI 40 live turret
  • Y-axis ±55 mm

Against a lathe plus a machining center, the TMX 8MYi folds the off-centre milling into the turning cycle — the second machine disappears.
