What does ECO mode actually change inside the drive?

The flux reference stops being conservative. In standard V/f the magnetization is sized for worst-case torque demand; in ECO the drive tracks the actual load and reduces flux when the load allows, cutting the losses that a 160 kW frame would otherwise burn as heat at part load. Efficiency is already 0.98 at rating — the ECO mode is what keeps the operating point close to that across the real, load-varying shift, and the savings accumulate without any operator involvement.

What does the network side see from this build?

PROFINET and EtherNet/IP on the onboard port — control and diagnostics on the plant Ethernet, with the drive reporting load, energy and fault data alongside the setpoint path. The DC terminals accept the external du/dt filter for long motor cables, the C3 filter covers the industrial grid on the supply side, and the 302 A LO rating against the 408 A ceiling holds for the whole 2YE50 family — protocol and filter letters are the only differences between the order numbers.
