The Rosemount 499 series of dissolved oxygen, ozone, and chlorine sensors are membrane-covered amperometric sensors designed for continuous water quality monitoring. They work with Rosemount analyzers to provide high accuracy readings across a wide range of applications. Maintenance and calibration are fast and easy with no special tools required.

All sensors feature an integral Pt100 RTD that measures temperature to compensate for membrane permeability. A built-in pressure balancing system minimizes response to pressure changes by equalizing pressure inside the sensor with sample pressure. The sensors are available with a Variopol (VP) water-tight connector option.

499ADO Dissolved Oxygen Sensor: Intended for aeration basins in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants. Range 0-20 ppm with ±0.2 ppm accuracy at 25°C. Response time 25 seconds to 63% of final reading.

499ATrDO Trace Dissolved Oxygen Sensor: For ppb-level DO in steam power plants and high purity cooling water. Range 0.1 ppb to 20 ppm. Response under 20 seconds to 90% of final reading.

499AOZ Dissolved Ozone Sensor: For ozonation basins in municipal water filter plants, bottling, and food processing. Range 0-3 ppm. Calibrate against laboratory test results of grab samples.

499ACL-01 Free Chlorine Sensor: For measuring free chlorine in drinking water, requires no acid pretreatment. Response 22 seconds to 95% of final reading at 25°C.

499ACL-02 Total Chlorine Sensor: Iodine-based sensor requiring TCL sample conditioning system with acetic acid/potassium iodide reagent.

499ACL-03 Monochloramine Sensor: For drinking water and wastewater. Linear range 0-15 ppm, response <30 seconds to 90% of final reading.
