AA0 I/O Control vs AB0 Standard I/O — both are hardwired, what is different?

Both AA0 and AB0 eliminate fieldbus infrastructure in favor of terminal-based control, but they differ in terminal configuration and I/O count. AA0 I/O Control provides a basic digital and analog I/O set optimized for simple start/stop with analog speed reference. AB0 Standard I/O offers a different terminal arrangement with additional I/O points for more complex local control sequences. For a straightforward conveyor section with start/stop and potentiometer speed control, AA0 covers the need with the simplest wiring. For applications requiring more digital I/O points, AB0 provides the additional terminals. Both share the same FSC power stage, B-connector, and 13.2 A HO rating as the PROFINET variant.
