Product Description
The KROHNE OPTIFLUX 4000 electromagnetic flow sensor is the proven choice for almost all applications in all industries. With just one signal converter and the widest range of flow sensors, it covers applications from simple water measurement to corrosive or abrasive products and pulp in the paper industry. Simplified engineering, procurement, and inventory lead to cost savings.
The 3x100% diagnostics overcome drawbacks of SIL2-certified equipment: it detects errors unrecognized under SIL2, indicates erroneous results (e.g., from gas bubbles) which SIL2 cannot do, and corrects errors in accuracy and linearity unseen by SIL2. This provides better assurance than normal SIL2 certification .
A Significant improvement in measuring technology components increases performance in challenging conditions increases performance in challenging conditions such as very low conductivity, rapid product changes with corresponding pH changes, and pulp measurement. The meter operates on the principle of electromagnetic induction: as a conductive liquid passes through a magnetic field, a voltage proportional to flow velocity is generated. Pulsed DC excitation eliminates zero shift problems .
Standard liners include PTFE, PFA, ETFE, PU, hard rubber, and soft rubber; various electrode materials are available. Grounding rings must be fitted when upstream/downstream pipes have non-conductive liners or are plastic. Applications span chemical, paper & pulp, water & wastewater, metals & mining, power generation, oil & gas, and pharmaceutical industries .
