A brownfield DP extension usually arrives with three constraints already decided: the master line exists, the supply grid is shared, and the bay it goes into was measured years ago. This build satisfies all three without touching any of them — C2 on board, DP slave interface, and a frame 290 mm shorter than the 160 kW class.

What does the review actually check, and where does the drive answer it?

The review checks emissions against the first-environment limits, because the grid also feeds offices, labs or neighbouring premises. A drive with an integrated C2 stage meets those limits as an orderable property — the compliance statement rests on the datasheet, not on an external filter someone has to source and mount. That removes the most common cause of a stalled extension: an EMC finding discovered after the cabinet drawing is finished.

Where does the 290 mm difference show up?

In the bay plan. The 132 kW frame at 305 x 709 x 360 mm shares its height class with the other FSF units in the row; the 160 and 200 kW builds step up to 999 mm and may not fit the existing row at all. With 256 A LO against the 338 A maximum, the power stage covers the mid-size pump duty, and the no-DC-terminal layout keeps the wiring scope to the close-coupled motor this extension assumes.
