The PCD3.M5 series employs a modular cassette architecture that allows flexible configuration of I/O and communication modules. The CPU basic module includes Ethernet TCP/IP and Profibus-DP Slave (1.5 Mbits) as standard, with the ability to run up to 13 communication interfaces simultaneously. I/O modules (digital, analog, counter, and motion control) are available for expansion, supporting up to 64 module slots and 1023 I/O points.

High-Performance Processing

With bit operation processing times of 0.3-1.5 µs and word operation times of 0.9 µs, the PCD3.M5 series delivers fast and deterministic control for complex automation tasks. The generous memory resources include 1 MB of program memory (RAM), 2 MB of flash memory for configuration and backup, and optional flash memory modules that expand storage to 4 GB for data logging and archiving.
