Product Description
The Watlow FLUENT in-line heater features fast-responding, high-watt-density layered heater circuit technology. It integrates multiple components into a single solution, reducing system costs and complexity while increasing performance compared to traditional immersion heaters or wrapped-tube designs .
The heater utilizes Watlow's patented thermal spray technology, using the entire heater surface to produce heat for optimized heat transfer and temperature uniformity. An internal baffle promotes turbulent flow for high efficiency, while a unique circuit patterning process enables distributed wattage and multiple zones for precise, repeatable power distribution .
Electrical specifications include voltage up to 240V, amperage up to 15A per zone, and +10%/-5% resistance tolerance. Maximum pressure rating is 150 psi (10.2 bar). Typical maximum watt densities are 150 W/in² for air and 450 W/in² for water .
Maximum heater temperature is 482°F as measured by an internal Type K thermocouple, which also provides high-limit control. The low-profile axial lead exit simplifies installation. The FLUENT is CE compliant .
