The CAS CAST-X 500 is a small, lightweight circulation heater ideal for heating gas or liquids in demanding applications. Even in its compact size, the CAST-X 500 delivers powerful performance with operating temperatures up to 350°F (177°C) and working fluid pressure up to 5100 psi (351 bar). The heater is available in a variety of wattages up to 1500W.

The CAST-X 500 features a helical coiled tube cast into an aluminum body with a replaceable cartridge heater installed in the center. The replaceable cartridge can be configured with various wattages to suit changing equipment requirements without replacing the entire assembly. The aluminum body serves as the heat transfer media between the cartridge heater and the coiled tube where the fluid is heated, with the aluminum mass acting as a "thermal flywheel" for accurate temperature control to prevent fluid degradation.

The unique non-welded construction allows use with thermally sensitive materials such as paints, resins, and flammable materials where fluid cleanliness is critical. The material being heated never contacts the heater elements, making it suitable for food service, semiconductor, and analytical industry applications. The self-draining design reduces material degradation caused by trapped process fluids.

Features include quick heating response due to low mass, non-welded construction to minimize leakage, and multiple enclosure options including NEMA 1 general-purpose, NEMA 4 moisture-resistant, and NEMA 7 explosion-proof for hazardous locations. Standard sensors include K or J type thermocouples with snap-action high-limit thermostat available. The compact 84" overall tube length and 6.3mm OD tubing make it easily integrable into larger systems.
