Watlow circulation heaters combine WATROD® or FIREBAR® heating elements with a complete assembly including tank, insulation, terminal enclosure, mounting brackets, inlet, and outlet connections. This ready-made solution minimizes installation time and labor while ensuring reliable performance .

The heaters are designed for forced circulation of liquids (air and gases may also be appropriate depending on application) over the heating elements. They are ideal for either in-line or side-arm operations, delivering fast response and even heat distribution through industry-leading heating element technology .

Ratings include up to one megawatt power, watt densities to 120 W/in², and sheath temperatures up to 1600°F depending on sheath material. Tanks are insulated with one inch of thermal insulation rated to 750°F to reduce heat loss, protected by a heavy-gauge steel jacket .

A wide range of sheath materials, wattages, vessel sizes and materials, pressure ratings, terminal enclosures, and controls are available to meet virtually any circulation heater assembly requirement. Standard screw plugs and flanges feature a wide selection of WATROD and FIREBAR elements, with flange ratings meeting recognized agency standards .

Applications include industrial water rinse tanks, hydraulic oil, crude, asphalt, lubricating oils, heat transfer oil, paraffin, caustic cleaners, nitrogen, hydrogen, other air/gas systems, superheating steam, and various water types including deionized, demineralized, clean, potable, and process water .
