The CAS CAST-X 2500 is a compact dual-tube circulation heater designed using the latest thermal modeling and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) technology. It features two helical-coiled flowpath tubes with low watt density heating elements, all cast into an aluminum body that serves as the heat transfer medium .

Power range is 2.5 kW to 15 kW with voltage options from 208 to 480V. Maximum pressure rating is 4000 psi (275 bar), and maximum process temperature is 662°F (350°C) depending on enclosure selection. The two 316L stainless steel tubes (0.625" OD with 0.065" wall) can be configured in series or parallel for flexible flow arrangements, with overall tube length of 130 inches .

The media being heated never contacts the heating elements - a critical safety benefit when heating explosive or sensitive materials. All CAST-X units are capable of heating liquids and gases alike. The compact, non-welded design provides a small footprint with high output capacity .

Enclosure options include NEMA 1 (general-purpose), NEMA 4 (moisture-resistant), NEMA 7 (explosion-proof), and ATEX certified for hazardous locations. Maximum working temperature varies by enclosure: 662°F for NEMA 1, 572°F for NEMA 4, and 482°F for NEMA 7/ATEX .

Standard sensors include K or J type thermocouples and a snap-action high-limit thermostat. The self-draining, non-welded construction minimizes potential leakage and reduces fluid degradation from trapped material .

Applications include paint and solvent heating, glycol and heat-transfer systems, food and beverage pasteurization, industrial gas heating and air separation, steam generation, laboratory and analytical applications, and urethane/foam system heating .
