The Time Electronics 7006 Loop-Mate 1 is a pocket-sized loop simulator and source designed for test and calibration of 4-20mA or 0-10V process loops. Simplicity of operation is its key feature—no keypads or complicated selections. Engineers can pick up the 7006 and get to work immediately, simply selecting the loop type and simulation mode.

As a loop simulator, the 7006 acts as a source to provide loop signals with 0.1% accuracy. Operation is straightforward using up/down buttons to increase or decrease the signal. Seven fixed set-points are provided: 0%, 10%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 90%, and 100%. Each set-point is indicated on a high brightness LED, and an audible beep sounds as you step between them. An auto-stepping mode with adjustable rate allows the 7006 to be left connected, stepping up and down continuously for extended testing.

The 7006 includes three operating modes: TxSim (transmitter simulation), RxTest (receiver test), and 0-10V DC simulation mode. An internal loop drive supply (25 mA max) is available for powering the loop if required. The unit is powered by a standard PP3 battery, providing up to 40 hours of continuous use. It comes complete with a carry case and user manual.

When used in conjunction with the Time Electronics 7007 Loop-Mate 2 indicator, the 7006 enables comprehensive process loop testing, facilitating quick location of faults, testing, and recalibration.
