The Time Electronics 7007 Loop-Mate 2 is a dedicated loop signal indicator designed for service and maintenance engineers working with process loops. It combines simple operation with 0.05% accuracy, providing reliable measurement for most process applications. The operator can select loop type (4-20mA, 0-10V, or 0-50V) and choose display units in direct mA/V or percentage of span.

The 7007 features a 4-digit LCD display that clearly shows the loop signal in mA, V, or % of span. Operating modes include RxSim (receiver simulation) for simulating a loop receiver, TxTest (transmitter test) for testing transmitters, and 50mA/50V measurement mode. An internal 24V loop drive supply (25 mA max) is available for powering the loop when required.

When used in conjunction with the Time Electronics 7006 Loop-Mate 1 simulator, the 7007 provides comprehensive process loop testing capabilities, facilitating quick location of faults, testing, and recalibration. The engineer can leave the 7006 connected at one location stepping through test points while using the 7007 at another location to verify signal arrival and specification compliance.

The unit is housed in a compact case measuring 140 x 65 x 30 mm and weighing 200 g. It is powered by a standard PP3 battery (alkaline or rechargeable) with typical life of 40 hours continuous use. Operating temperature range is 0°C to 50°C. The 7007 comes complete with a carrying case, test leads, and user manual.
