The E+H Proline Promag W 400 Electromagnetic Flow Meter measures volume flow, conductivity, and mass flow. It features certified corrosion protection (EN ISO 12944) for underground or permanent underwater installation, making it ideal for water, wastewater, and custody transfer industries .

The bidirectional measuring principle is independent of pressure, density, temperature, and viscosity. With no moving parts, the Promag W 400 is maintenance-free and applications suffer no pressure loss due to cross-section constriction .

The transmitter offers full access to process and diagnostic information via numerous, freely combinable I/Os and fieldbuses. Up to three analog or digital outputs are available, with digital communication options including HART, PROFIBUS DP, EtherNet/IP, and Modbus RS485 .

The meter carries drinking water approvals including ACS, KTW/W270, NSF 61, and WRAS BS 6920. The standard enclosure is IP66/67, Type 4X, with IP68, Type 6P protection available as an option for remote sensors, including protective varnish according to EN ISO 12944 C5-M/Im1/Im2/Im3 .
