The E+H Proline Promag P 500 electromagnetic flow meter measures volume flow, conductivity, and mass flow. It is designed for chemical and process applications with corrosive liquids and the highest media temperatures. The bidirectional measuring principle is independent of pressure, density, temperature, and viscosity.

With no moving parts, it is maintenance-free and suffers no pressure loss due to cross-section constriction. The transmitter offers full access to process and diagnostic information via numerous freely combinable I/Os and fieldbuses. Up to four analog or digital outputs are available.

The meter is available with PFA or PTFE liners. PFA handles -4 to 302°F (standard) or -4 to 356°F (high-temp); PTFE covers -40 to 266°F. Standard accuracy is ±0.5%, optional ±0.2%. Digital communication includes HART, PROFIBUS, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, Modbus RS485, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, and OPC-UA.

Optional Heartbeat Technology complies with ISO 9001:2008 Section 7.6a requirements for traceable verification (TÜV-attestation). Enclosure is IP66/67, Type 4X standard, with optional IP69 for remote sensors. ATEX, IECEx, cCSAus, INMETRO, NEPSI, EAC options available. Predecessors include Promag 50E, 50P, 51P, 53E, 53P.
