The Emerson PACSystems RXi Web Panel provides access to web-hosted applications within a rugged industrial enclosure. Designed for server-side computing architectures, the Web Panel offloads processing to centralized servers while delivering a rich user interface through standard web browsers. This architecture simplifies deployment, maintenance, and scaling of HMI applications across multiple operator stations.

Computing Platform

A dual core 1.0GHz iMX6 Freescale processor provides responsive performance for web-based applications. The system includes 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 4GB of Flash memory. The standard Linux Yocto operating system with QT Webkit framework, combined with Chromium and Firefox web browsers, ensures compatibility with a wide range of web-hosted HMI and SCADA applications.

Display Technology

Available in screen sizes from 7 to 24 inches widescreen format, with 7 to 15 inch models offered in both indoor and outdoor sunlight-readable versions. Ten-point multitouch projective capacitive screens maintain high sensitivity even when operators wear gloves. Optically bonded screens with UV protection reduce reflections and glare, delivering clear, vivid images for enhanced operator visibility.

Modular Design and Environmental Ratings

The modular design allows easy swapping between indoor and outdoor screens, screen size changes, or screen replacement while utilizing the same computing unit. Operating temperature range of -20 to 65°C (-4 to 149°F) ensures reliable performance in diverse environments. IP66 rated screens provide protection against dust, moisture, and direct water jets. Certifications include UL and cUL 62368, UL and cUL 61010, IECEE CB Scheme, UL TYPE 4 and 4X, CE, FCC Part 15 Class A, and RoHS.
