Product Description
The IC757C series represents Emerson's dedicated web-hosted HMI platform within the PACSystems RXi family. Unlike full Windows-based panel PCs, these ARM-powered devices run a lightweight Linux Yocto distribution with QT WebKit and Chromium browser engines — purpose-built for HTML5-based visualization served from a remote PAC or edge controller. Available in six sizes from 7″ to 24″, with indoor and sunlight-readable outdoor variants, they cover operator stations from compact machine-mounted displays to large-format overview screens.
How does a web panel differ from a full panel PC?
The IC757C runs an embedded ARM processor (iMX6 Freescale dual-core 1.0 GHz) with 2 GB DDR3 and 4 GB internal Flash — not an x86 CPU with Windows. It is designed to display web-hosted HMIs: the visualization application runs on a central PAC, edge controller, or server, and the IC757C renders it in a browser. This architecture centralizes application management, eliminates software deployment to individual operator stations, and reduces per-node hardware cost and complexity. What are the indoor and outdoor (SLR) display options?
Standard indoor models (CSW prefix) deliver 350–500 cd/m² brightness. Outdoor Sunlight Readable models (COW prefix, available in 7″ to 15″) boost brightness to 1000 cd/m² for readability in direct sunlight. All models use LED-backlit PCAP touchscreens rated for 50,000 hours MTBF at 25 °C, with software-dimmable backlight control. Contrast ratios range from 800:1 to 5000:1 depending on screen size.
