How does AB0 differ from AF0?

At the 5.5 kW power level in the 1XN modular series, the AB0 variant provides a specific I/O configuration identified by its suffix code. The AF0 variant adds PROFINET industrial Ethernet with integrated PROFIsafe functional safety. For conveyor sections that do not require fieldbus communication — operating instead with hardwired control signals — the AB0 variant provides the same FSC frame performance at a lower interface cost. 5.5 kW FSC frame: entry to the top power tier

The FSC frame (425 × 180 × 169 mm) houses the 5.5 and 7.5 kW power ratings — the highest in the G115D range. At 5.5 kW with 13.2 A HO rated output (26.4 A peak for 3 s at 200% overload), the drive covers medium-to-heavy conveyor sections in intralogistics and material handling. The integrated fan ensures sustained operation at full load in ambient temperatures up to 40 °C. Like all G115D variants, a C2 EMC filter, braking chopper, and STO safety function are built in.
