SINAMICS G115D
The SINAMICS G115D series is Siemens' dedicated distributed drive platform for horizontal conveyor applications in intralogistics, packaging, and automotive assembly. Spanning 0.37 kW to 7.5 kW across three frame sizes — FSA (380 × 216 × 129 mm, fanless), FSB (425 × 180 mm, fanless up to 3 kW or fan-cooled at 4 kW), and FSC (425 × 180 × 169 mm, fan-cooled, 5.5–7.5 kW) — all variants share IP65 sealing, wall-mounted installation, and 380–480 V 3-phase input. Three communication interfaces cover every control architecture: I/O Control (AA0) for hardwired digital/analog signals with no fieldbus, AS-Interface (AF0) for two-wire bus on existing AS-i infrastructure, and PROFINET (AB0) with PROFIsafe for STO over Ethernet plus EtherNet/IP support for mixed-vendor plants. Direct mounting to SIMOGEAR 2KJ8 geared motors with IE3 or IE4 efficiency eliminates control cabinets and minimizes motor cable length. The series is available under multiple catalog designations — XH2x (current), XN0x (intermediate), XM0x (earliest), and 1XA (parallel FSA series) — all sharing identical hardware within each frame size.
