The KDCL-15DY is Zhejiang KAIDA's Y-axis turning center on a 45-degree slant bed. A 12-station turret carries live tools, an A2-6 main spindle runs beside an A2-5 sub-spindle, and the whole machine turns, mills and back-machines in one clamping.

Why add a sub-spindle and Y-axis to a slant-bed lathe?

Without a Y-axis every milled feature sits on the part centreline, and without a sub-spindle the second end waits for a separate machine. The KDCL-15DY reaches off-centre with the Y-axis and hands the part to the 6,000 rpm sub-spindle, so a 360 mm shaft is finished on both ends in one setup — the second machine and the re-fixture error both disappear.
