The Waygate Technologies DM5E ultrasonic thickness gauges are designed for operation in harsh working environments like Oil & Gas (pipelines, pressure vessels & storage tanks), Petrochemical and Power Generation. The DM5E comes in three models: DM5E Basic, DM5E and DM5E DL.

DM5E Basic features a rugged housing, ergonomic design and long battery life (60 hours) in a lightweight, handheld package. The backlit LCD display and watertight/dust-proof membrane keypad incorporate function and arrow keys for easy one-hand use. Features include Min/Max capture, B-Scan generation, alarms and differential thickness measurement.

DM5E includes the same features as the Basic, while adding "DUAL MULTI" operating mode for measuring metal thickness through coatings without removal. The DM5E Basic is field-upgradeable to the DM5E. Available in a kit with DA501 probe and cable.

DM5E DL adds a built-in data logger that holds up to 50,000 readings and supports grid-style data file formats. Transfer files to a PC via Mini USB using the included macro to import into Microsoft Excel. The DM5E Basic and DM5E are both field-upgradeable to the DM5E DL.

Measuring range is 0.025 to 20in with selectable resolution of 0.01, 0.001, or 0.0001in. Material velocity range is 0.0200 to 0.7362 in/ms. Waygate Technologies is formerly known as GE Inspection Technologies (GEIT).
