The Dakota NDT PZX1-DL precision thickness gauge measures thin substrates with high accuracy. It offers easy field calibration with one- or two-point options, and users can select from eight common material velocities plus two custom velocities. Automatic and time‑dependent gain with manual override provide flexibility.

Measurement modes include Pulse-Echo (0.04–36in), Echo-Echo (0.006–1in delay line, 0.040–6in contact), Interface-Echo (0.06–1in delay line), and Plastics mode (0.005–0.250in graphite delay line). Resolution is selectable 0.001 or 0.0001 inches (0.01 or 0.001mm). High speed scan increases repetition rate to 140Hz with 25Hz screen refresh.

The data logging version (PZX1-DL) stores 40 files of 250 readings (10,000 total) as .csv files via USB-C. Features include differential mode, high/low alarms, and velocity (VX) mode for nodularity testing. Factory calibration is traceable to NIST & MIL-STD-45662A, backed by a 5‑year warranty.
