The CLX 350 is DMG MORI's universal turning center on a 45-degree slant bed, aimed at small and medium companies that re-setup frequently. A 12-station VDI turret and direct measuring system on the X and Y axes come standard, with an optional sub-spindle and Y-axis for complete machining.

Why a direct measuring system as standard?

A machine that measures through the ballscrew inherits backlash and thermal error, so the operator compensates for drift that should not be there. The CLX 350's direct scale reads the axis position directly, so a 320 mm part holds its tolerance through a day of changeovers — the accuracy a job shop needs when every part is different.
