Product Description
The Dwyer CSG Current and Voltage Signal Generator is an ideal tool for troubleshooting transmitters, transducers, motors, and actuators. This pocket-sized instrument generates a 0 to 10 VDC signal in increments of 1 volt or a 0 to 20 mA signal in increments of 1 mA, providing simple and reliable signal injection for process testing .
The CSG features a large LCD display with blue backlight for use in dimly lit areas, ensuring clear visibility in various working conditions. The unit continuously ramps the output using user-selected minimum, maximum, and ramp interval timing parameters from 1 to 20 seconds in 1-second increments .
Output specifications include voltage range of 0-10 VDC with 1 VDC resolution and 1000Ω minimum load impedance, and current range of 0-20 mA with 1 mA resolution and 300Ω maximum load impedance. The timed ramp function enables automated testing of process devices over specified ranges .
The CSG is powered by a 9V alkaline battery (user replaceable) or 120 VAC adapter, with auto power-off to conserve battery life. Electrical connections are provided via 6 ft (1.8 m) leads with alligator clips. Applications include process display configuration and transmitter calibration .
