The UT-300Y is Accuway's box-way slant-bed turning center with a Y-axis, aimed at large shaft and flange work that needs off-centre machining. A 12-station BMT or VDI turret carries driven tools beside an A2-8 spindle, and the rotary tools reach 4,000 rpm.

Why box ways and a Y-axis on one turning center?

A linear-guide lathe is fast but flexes on heavy cuts, and without a Y-axis every off-centre hole goes to a machining center. The UT-300Y's box ways hold rigidity for the 420 mm cut while the ±50 mm Y-axis reaches the off-centre features, so the part is turned and milled in one clamping — the second setup and its datum error both disappear.
