The Dakota NDT MX2-DL ultrasonic thickness gauge features a 2D cross-sectional block view (B‑Scan) and A‑Scan display, providing graphical representation for accurate analysis of pits and corroded areas. Users can select display modes including A‑Scan (RF or rectified), B‑Scan, large digits, scan bar, or bar graph.

Measurement modes: Pulse-Echo (PE) for flaws and pits from 0.025 to 100 ft; Echo-Echo (EE) for thru-paint from 0.100 to 6 in. Square wave pulser with adjustable pulse width, manual or AGC gain control with 50dB range. Precision TCXO timing with 100MHz 8‑bit digitizer. Pulse repetition frequency 250Hz. Scan mode takes 250 readings per second.

Internal 4GB memory stores readings with waveforms. Resolution ±0.001 inches (0.01mm). Velocity calibration: 0.0122–0.7300 in/µs (309.88–18,542 m/s). 64 custom user‑definable setups. 1/8 VGA grayscale display, 25Hz refresh rate. Factory calibration traceable to NIST & MIL‑STD‑45662A.
