When do the DC terminals actually matter?

The 1 in the suffix means DC terminals are present, so you can bolt on an external brake resistor for hoist and decelerating loads, or a du/dt filter for longer motor-cable runs — without opening the power section. If the motor cable is short and no external braking is planned, the 41481 sibling drops the DC terminals for a leaner, lower-cost build.

The B-suffix interface covers serial and building-management buses, so the drive drops into a controller that is not on PROFINET or PROFIBUS. At 30 kW it runs in a 305 x 709 x 360 mm FSF frame.
